TechnoLust's Journal: Job update... and yes, it's my birthday.

They made a counter-counter-offer that was reasonable, so I accepted it. Just waiting on the background check and all that now. And I had to do a personality test, which is a first for a job for me.

And yes it is my birthday.

UPDATE: We went to 10 Degrees South for dinner. We started off with some white wine and Peri-peri chicken spring rolls and crab cakes. Brandy had Peri-peri chicken for an entree and I had Ostrich with a nice Shiraz (oaky with a floral aftertaste) the waitress recommended that complimented the ostrich well. Then we finished with a Chocolate Truffel Souflee that was exquisite. Now for the drunkedness.

The just got it today, but it's a strange test. 2 pages with a list of words. The first page says put a check in the box beside all words that describe how you THINK PEOPLE EXPECT YOU TO BE. The next page has the same list and says heck in the box beside all words that YOU THINK DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY. Weird one.

When I applied for the CHP many, many moons ago the personality test was 1,000 T/F questions. The wierdest question I remember was, "Was Washington greater than Lincoln, True or False?" I never did get the full results of my personality, but it whatever it was did fail me out of the hiring process.

So far it's been wine with dinner. Then I switched to a vodka and sprite while we are waiting on Mandy (the DD) to show up and take us downtown. Then it's going to be LITs and shots of Jagermeister.

Sounds like the day was good to you.
