Season 2 (except for one episode) of Discovery was some of the best of Trek, also... it's a shame the showrunners turned it completely into The Michael Burnham Show (over-featuring how beautifully SMG can cry on demand) and didn't give the rest of the cast breathing room. As for it being "ruined by woke" or whatever, I'd offer that Stamets, Culber, and Adira were great characters. (Though I'll admit Gray Tal seemed to be there to check a box and was never well written, really.)
And, c'mon, Season 3 of Picard, at least, whipped butt. It was mindless fan service that could be picked apart in many ways, yes... but it was GREAT mindless fan service.
Some of you have forgotten how to have fun, and also how to do part of it while seeking a Mighty Marvel No-Prize after seeing something that doesn't immediately make sense but *can* if you give it some thought, play in their universe. Instead you're busy holding Trek to some supposed super high standard that rarely if ever existed. Brain and brain, what is brain, anyway?
