I love choice in gaming, but it is admittedly a deeper story when people don't have to make branching story arcs. Similar to reading a classic novel vs. reading a Choose Your Own Adventure.

Yeah, I agree with you for the most part. My beef is that the systems are created with composite as an option. I know wholeheartedly I need to upgrade, and finding the cash is interesting with a baby on the way. :) Just my two cents. As I state in the article, if someone makes a console that doesn't support component or composite, I won't have room to complain. One day they will go the way of the dodo, just like oldschool RF. (side note: i'd like to see an HDTV support older things, like the light gun games from old consoles. Still fun to play, inoperable on HD)
