America in general looks at the immigration as unsustainable. It costs more to house a person in the US than in another country. When a person flees Syria, then they are facing huge linguistic and social barriers when resettling here. They would never see their family again. Wouldn't a closer location be more suitable? ie Turkey? Turkey can not handle it. Nor can Germany. Now, the retreads - those that failed to win asylum in Germany - are pushing for visas in France. Germany shut the door because its budget can not handle the payments for any more. So why can not Americans ask if they can pay for this? I think that many are saying that the country can not pay for it. We have a national debt that is at the one of the highest percentages of GDP in the world. Few other countries even have a significant yield from corporate taxes. We have a third of national revenue coming from corporate taxes, when most European countries have effectively zero. Only Ireland has a significant amount of revenue coming from corporate taxes(most of those corps are actually American). So why can not an American ask how to pay for it? Or to decide that it is not sustainable? The budget can not be met and each immigrant's health care costs more in America than elsewhere.
