I've got 16 unread messages- and no way to see them at work, and no time to see them at home. Can anybody else see their messages?

I have no problem getting to the message list using IE, or reading the individual messages. If you are a subscriber, have you tried using https [slashdot.org]:?

I'm using IE at work as I type, had no trouble seeing this message; I am not a subscriber, not using https.

Clear your browser history and cache, and use a CTRL-Click on the refresh button to force a reload.
Barring that, I'd run Windows Update, there may be something you're missing.
If all else fails, you might consider Firefox. Don't know what your IT rules are, though.
