Russian company Apis Cor has manufactured a 3D printed concrete house on-site in 24 hours in Stupino Town, Russia. Using a tower crane-shaped concrete extruder that can rotate 360 degrees, the 38 square meter (408.88 square foot) rotor shaped home walls were constructed in one day. Voids left in the manufacturing process were filled by hand, installing windows, doors, and adding polyurathane and fiber insulation to the hollow concrete walls. The roof was also constructed by hand using polymer membranes, welded together using hot air and special equipment. Total construction costs were $10,134 (USD), approximately $266.66/sqm ($24.78/sqft). They also constructed a temporary protective heated tent to surround the house, as they constructed the house during winter — though the printer can be used at temperatures down to -35C, concrete has to be at least +5C to cure.

Those excited about the $100 price cut that the 60 GB PS3 recently recieved should act quickly — according to an interview from SCEE president David Reeves:
"All they're doing is taking their stock in trade that they've got at the moment of the 60GB model, marking the price down and it will all be gone by the end of July."
When asked if the 60GB PS3 would be no more after the fire sale, he confirmed, "In America, yes." After that, "...what the US are offering from the 1st of August is a USD $599 version with one game."

Benjamin J. Heckendorn has custom-built an XBox 360 laptop. It features a 17" widescreen 1280x720 progressive-scan HD display, breakout ports for VGA and component inputs, built-in Wi-Fi, and even an integrated keyboard — all in a 14 pound, 2.8 inch thick enclousure. A journal of its construction is also available for those wanting to make their own. As this was built on commission, you're welcome to ask him to build you another one, but "beware of sticker shock."
