One of my fans posted this article recently. It touched a topic that is rather dear to my heart right now. I may or may not post on this in the near future. But the comments to this JE disgust me in many ways and I should like to keep a record of them.

  • Why was anything disgusting? After all, it was just a really late, late term abortion. That baby couldn't have existed without the help of it's mother, so it wasn't really a "baby" or a "person", or even "human". No, it was just a really advanced "fetus".

    I mean when you really think about it, it was just a growth on the mother, part of the mother that was only recently detached, so they didn't do anything wrong in throwing it ina quarry any more than if you lost a finger in an accident and threw your dism

    • I completely agree. Holding my newborn son for the first time was the most amazing thing I think I've ever experienced. I can not understand anyone that could possibly do anything bad to a baby, and mercy isn't even in the top 100 things I'd consider for someone like that.

      These are things that make me realize I could NEVER be a cop, and makes me respect those that can. Because if I found someone who had hurt a child in any way, there wouldn't be a chance for them to appeal for leniency.

      It's been often remarked that there are no atheists in the foxholes. Having seen four children from earliest sonogram through birth and now childhood, I would consider it equally true that there are no friends of abortion in the sonogram room.

      This is completely aside from the specific (im)morality of abortion, but it tells us something, does it not?

      A baby is human from the point of conception. When the fetus is concieved of human parents, it will ALWAYS develop into a human, no matter what anyone thinks it looks like. It is therefore human in and of itself. The baby will be human, regardless of any mu
