Journal Engineer-Poet's Journal: How to get freaks 10
You can be snarky and sarcastic, you can take people to task for several rounds of bruising in-your-face near-flame debate, and not get a single freak.
I know. I did all of that, and I didn't have any freaks until today.
Since yesterday morning I've gotten not just one, but two. What did I do yesterday? I dared to deny one of the foundation tenets of multiculturalism, and said that the religion followed by the head-chopping, vulva-mangling, wife-beating, honor-killing, Jew-hating, suicide-bombing, murder-praising masses concentrated mostly from N. Africa across the Middle East to SE Asia is backward and violent.
Apparently, there are some things it's forbidden to mention negatively in parts of American society - even if the people you're talking about admit to the same things (but call them virtues).

You mean, like a large, well-financed and doctrinally orthodox group of followers?
Who can cite chapter and verse of their books - and a long tradition of following them the same way - to justify the correctness of what they're doing?
Since religion doesn't truly exist except in the people who follow it, I am forced to ask you if there is any other way you could possibly have meant that?

Here [butterfliesandwheels.com]. Yes, religion and violence are connected. It's a complicated issue.
