I've made 2458 comments on slashdot. No kidding. That's a lot of damn comments. I guarantee you most of them were some bullshit, too.

I started clicking through my list of friends and after ten people or so, I found one person with over 1000 comments. This is disheartening. Many people joke on slashdot that we /.ers have no lives and waste our employers' money by surfing while we work.

Apparently, I'm the worst one. Who else out there is in my league? Who else do you know that's over 2000? Are there many people out there that are way over, like 3000 or 4000?

And no, don't count crapflooders. Although... huh... after getting modded down and put into a cooling off period, Iduno if crapflooders can post as often as I do. What a horrifying thought.

more posts than I do (2460/370) so it'll be a long time before I reach your level of /. proficiency but you are also one of the 5 digit uids so you've been around much longer than a humble 6 digiter as myself. :)

I wouldn't worry about it too much, yeah thats alot of posts, but since the advent of journals/friends/foes the opportunity presents itself to post ALOT more.

Yeah. I guess it's better than TV. But I've been working late, lately, and I could probably leave on time if I'd focus a little more during regular business hours. Seriously thinking about putting "slashdot.org 127.0.0.1" in my hosts file. I've done that before. It usually lasts a few days before I remove it.

Are there other things you want to be doing instead of being at the office?

I have a four-year-old son, and my wanting to spend time with him provides me with enormous incentive to avoid wasting too much time at work.

Exactly. No, I don't have much else I'd rather be doing. My girlfriend is out of town for school. When she's here, I leave at 5PM on the dot, every day.
