It's a combination of the footage itself and the trustworthiness of the source of the footage. Fabricating evidence is a serious criminal offense. Anyone attempting that is taking a huge risk. The biggest change will be that footage brought by the defendant or the plaintiff or others with a lot to gain from the footage will be less trustworthy. Evidence footage from third parties will be as good as before.

No officially supported SteamOS systems have GTX 10xx series GPUs, though.

I won't consider another browser until I can have the bookmarks toolbar next to the address field instead of under it, and have separators in the bookmark lists. Firefox compact mode (has to be enabled with "browser.compactmode.show" in about:config) with the bookmark folders between the address field and the extension icons is perfect, takes very little vertical screen space away from the web content.

That I can have browser-specific proxy settings instead of being forced to using system wide proxy is also a killer feature for me, because it allows me to transparently access my home NAS stuff from Firefox (and Firefox only) via an ssh tunnel on my work laptop (my work browser is Chrome).

This applies to lots of people inside the tech industry as well.

Is there an alternative that is still as good as pre-2020 Google, or at least better than 2024 Google? I tried many alternatives around 2020 but didn't like the UI or search results of any of them compared to Google, but now I don't like Google Search anymore either so I may reconsider. I just want straight-to-the-point search results without having it trying to outsmart me and flood me with things I didn't search for. What I search for is what I want, nothing else.

The next thing on their TODO list should be to become compatible with Facebook and Instagram again, after giving a broken experience there (scrolling jumping around like crazy) for nearly two years. Yes, I understand that the problem is that Meta has badly written JavaScript code that is broken on Firefox. No, that doesn't matter for end users. I really want to recommend people to use Firefox, but sorry, I can't because of this.

I don't use Facebook for posting or reading "private" stuff anymore, but I still use it for organising and sharing events and group pages, and for communication and information sharing with people in these groups and events.

Well, in many countries they are at least banned in many places where the smoker would actively hurt others with their smoking. You no longer have to be exposed to cigarette smoke at work, restaurants, bars, trains/busses/planes, shopping centers, etc, etc.

They already dropped the fingerprint sensor about 4 years ago, after iPhone 8 (not counting the iPhone SE). At this pace, will probaly see Fart ID before a comeback of Touch ID, though.

Something to try out, if you haven't already tried this route;
Set up a WSUS server and set your machines to update via that.
Then set up the WSUS to require explicit approval of all updates.
Now no one should get any updates unless it's been explicitly approved by an administrator.
If you already have Enterprise client licenses, an Active Directory environment, and are using a Windows file server, you probably already have all licenses and infrastructure required for setting this up.

Not sure what you are doing on your computer but I've been using a 4750G extensively for half a year and I've had zero issues with the GPU drivers.
