Journal DMDx86's Journal: Unbanned after nearly 20 years 5
Not really noteworthy, I just randomly logged in (yes, I remembered my password) and saw that I still had a âoepink pageâ ban after some pretty brutal trolling back in 2003 or so.
I emailed the ban appeal address and was unbanned without any real fanfare (thanks guys!).

I don’t recall exactly but I don’t think I did. I just moved on with life and posted as A/C for a while and eventually stopped coming here altogether.

I've had bad karma for a long time before but never banned. They seem pretty damn lenient around here to me.

Difficult to remember the exact details but I think my account got banned for activities associated with my IP address at the time. I was hanging out in IRC chats with an infamous trolling group of that particular era that was also active on Slashdot and other forums.
I do remember having run a comment spamming script a few times during those years so the account + IP ban may have been related to that.
