My daughter was taught by Facebook to lie, because they required people to be 13 or older to create an account. Rather than jumping through parental consent hoops, a whole generation was taught to just lie about their age, because there was no real verification of age. Those kids now all have Facebook accounts that say they are 5 years or so older than they actually are. How does a French person prove they are 15 or older? Get their middle-aged boyfriend to vouch for them? "I, Humbert Humbert, do solemly swear that Lolita is age 18."

Sounds gross, but it is a valuable health reminder. I took my sister-in-law to the emergency room because she was feeling terrible after a heat wave. I kept telling her, "maybe we should stop and get you some water". What did the emergency room tell her? She was just dehydrated. She could have drunk some water and saved be a trip. And yes, if you sweat to much, you do need to replace the electrolytes too. People have harmed themselves just by drinking too much water and diluting thier electrolytes too much.

The only tap pay issue I've seen is many terminals not being labeled clearly that they accept tap-to-pay, which kinda leaves you guessing.

Apple Pay is pretty cool... when it works. My daughter runs into a lot of situations where she can't use it and has to ask me for money. Or maybe she's just pretending it doesn't work to make me pay for her shit... I don't know.
