Sorry.. I was making a tongue in cheek joke and didn't mean to cause chafing to your delicate parts... please accept my 100% sincere and heartfelt apologies for the hardship you and your family had to endure during this trying time. I'm sure with a few decades of therapy you might have some semblance of the normal life you used to enjoy. Furthermore, I've set up a GoFundMe account to help with the financial burdens you've had to incur and made sure that the funds made it to the wealthiest person in your zip code so that they can help you with this debilitating issue.

Cities were murdering each other to get the new Amazon headquarters... what would that do to rents?

Increases rent faster than wages resulting in an increased homeless population. Also Amazon is buying up the residential so they can bring people in and set them up with homes right away...

In short, Amazon is great for a city's economy, but it's awful for the people who are already living there.

I was sleeping last night and my cat jumped up on my chest and sat down.. and I remember thinking, I wonder if this is where the "old hag" vision comes from. (A creature that sits on your chest usually accompanied by a feeling of severe panic like you're going to die) Someone in a state of dreamy hallucination with a cat on their chest could easily invoke that image.

...and yet it's the commonly held definition is that "on sale" means a discounted price from the norm. So saying something is "on sale" but not discounted in any way is disingenuous as you know that you are intentionally misleading people. It's basically letting people lie to themselves, which you can "technically" place on the other person, but it's a cowards excuse for moral behavior.

"The solution, the paper suggests, is not fear but careful experimentation."

Do you know what's a complete anathema to that ethos..... the drive of money. If we don't want to go down that road, then rampant greed needs to be dealt with first otherwise it's going to be a race to see who's first to get something exciting to market.
