Anyone with a bigass weenie-compensating SUV or pickup truck needs $12/gallon fuel. VROOOOOOOOM
Last time I checked the UW (here) holds something like 42 basic patents for different battery technologies that can be licensed at a fairly inexpensive cost.
All types of materials, operating ranges, discharge curves.
However, there are other methods: pumped water up an incline, compressed air, flywheels - all of which store massive amounts of energy today, and are in use worldwide.
It's ok, I put an order in for a replacement sun, once it wipes out all the nasty infections on those planets, we'll be good to go.
Fun fact: most "rare earths" aren't actually that rare.
They're just based off of materials on a certain segment of the periodic table.
A lot of that was forced conversion of old style coal plants to cogeneration coal plants, and the imposition of water scrubbers for emissions.
Amazing what some 1970s US/Canadian technology can do.
Um, tell Comrade Musk that.
Look, we all know it, but some of us lie to ourselves out of greed.
It's just a ponzi scheme.
See, this is called energy distribution, or why WA OR sell CA our wind and hydro energy and CA sells us their solar.
(caveat - even in Seattle, I own 12 solar units on 4 projects, so some of our daily energy consumption is from our own solar, yes even on cloudy days (light cloud cover, tends not to snow over here, so 70-80 percent gets collected))
We have these things called interties, and part of the fire damage was repaired so we could buy/sell electricity up and down the coast.
the major problem is that we literally need to quadruple renewables in 2022, and each year from 2023 to 2030.
Not just doubling by 2025.
But quadrupling by 2023. And quadrupling in 2023. And quadrupling in 2034. Until 2030 inclusive.
Every GHG emission you make now will stay in the atmosphere for 20-500 years (CO2 is 50 years).
So all this climate change is happening because of emissions from 1945 to 2020.
It's already in the system, powering climate events.
Have fun just having really old people, Meta!
