The 2008 Ford Fusion had/has a similar feature. You park, shut off the car, even remove the key, and the electric windows and radio stay active until you open the door. You can keep listening to or change whatever's playing and get some air circulating (or close the windows, in preparation of leaving), keys in hand, until you open a door. A nice feature for those radio "driveway moments".

And trying to print what one sees on the screen (WYSIWYP) is increasingly impossible without the browser generating multiple pages--both before and after--of crappy-formatted text. Good luck using an extension to manually edit the page before printing. I'm thinking an image might be better??

If the person had turned on encryption or changed an existing encryption passphrase to something only they knew, backups could have gone on for a good long time before anyone might have noticed. That would have been a much more insidious attack than simply deleting backups.
