In defense of MeWe.com, I don't see any reference to popularity among conservatives until well into the history of the site on Wikipedia. On the site itself I don't see much more politically slanted commentary than I do on thefacebook. I use MeWe regularly, and there are some really great groups: watercolor artists, guinea pig aficionados, motorcyclists, and some really good linux/tech groups.

I was a happy AT&T customer with my Blackberry Key2, until last August when they kicked my phone off their network. Even though it had all the right compatibility to keep going, and even though it had worked just fine up to that point. They insisted there was nothing they could do.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The process does not have to be slow, just not instantaneous and require several steps over a couple of weeks.

You have to go to a different website to bring the appeal. There will probably be several stages in the process. And according to the new board's website, they don't even have to consider all cases that are appealed https://oversightboard.com/app... .

Many folks will get a one-off angry meme removed, start the appeal, but never bother to complete it because after a couple of weeks they're no longer that upset.

And for those that do prevail on appeal, how relevant is that edgy meme going to be in three months when it gets put back up? When it gets restored, is it treated as having been posted on the original post-date? How many of your friends are actually going to see a post that the algorithm considers three months old?
