Who took it literally? I think I was being very kind in pointing out the typo by using gentle sarcasm. Perhaps my saying that 50 mHz is "well below" human hearing instead of "practically fucking DC" confused you?

This is "news for nerds." Any self-respecting nerd that doesn't know the SI system of prefixes should just turn the computer off and go back to bed. Trying to insult the messenger for a failure to preview a posting and being NINE ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE WRONG is just pathetic.

The bigger the state(government) the smaller the citizen. What you said is also true but neglected where it leaves us.

Not true. Clothes are designed to hide flaws in the human body. Most women are flawed to some degree. Air brushing models and makeup to hide some of them have been around for quite a while.

Now i could understand your conclusion about him maybe being gay if he said something along the lines of a man in clothing is more attractive than a naked woman but he didn't.

I think there are many more parallels between piano and traditional synths than there are between traditional synths and DAWs. IMHO, it's like comparing someone who goes to track vs. someone who treadmills vs. someone who plays Track and Field.

And just as a bit of a disclaimer: I don't begrudge anyone who does their composing and playing through whatever method works for them. I listen to tons of electronic music and I recognize there are different levels of natural talent and different levels of artistic vision. The end product is what's really important.

I think God for Edgar Froese but I don't look down on people who couldn't put two notes together without Cubase...and John McLaughlin is a great musician as well. I probably own a dozen recordings with McLaughlin on them and they're all great.

There are few musicians/bands i will pay to see in concert any more. But i love going to festivals and watching performers. I love hitting bars to watch local talent. I don't even care if the sound is imperfect or the acustics reminds you of dogs barking at cats having screaming loud sex. Its the ecperience of seeing people give it their best and having a hell of a good time in the process.

The last major concert i went to, it seemed like my $80 for tickets bothered the band or something. It was almost like they had something better to do. I know i have something better to do. Long live the garage bands and festivals. Even the has been headliners stuck doing county fairs are better then most headliners in my opinion.

The plans i saw where outrageously stupid. Their annual cost is more than i spent on healthcare the last five years combined (about $245 per month). And to top it off, they have a $6000 deductable and $6000 out of pocket expenses. That means over one third of my income last year before i see any real advantage if i had to use it. I had catastrophic with a $2000 deductable and only paid $135 a month and it covered broken bones, stitches, heart attacks, strokes and the rest of the crap that would have to happen in order to jack my expenses up enough to see a real benefit from the policies i saw on the exchange.

I wouldn't mind coverage but i don't consider this as any improvement. For years i didn't want insurance because i spent the money on other things. I'm sure others did too.

Huh????? Nixon was never impeached. The house never voted to impeach him. There was talk that he would be impeached but Nixon resigned before that happened.

As for failing to act, either the house or senate can propose a law to stop the NSA. The problem is not many members see problems with it so attempts go nowhere fast.

And yes, the republicans are afraid to impeach Obama because of what happened last time. But that is the reality we have to live with when most of the nation can be tricked into believing lieing in a court of law (which clinton lost his law license because of) was only about getting some strange.

How the hell do you know what the CEO is worth? Most workers most places I have ever been employed are not interested in doing more than the minimum to keep their jobs. Few care about the company or the product or whether it will be able to keep them employed in the future. It is a CEO's job to think and plan around all of these things and much much more. Most workers could not remotely do what a good CEO does. Also the vast majority of the CEOs of the world do not make 10000 times or ever 10x what their average worker does, especially in most technology companies. Whatever their compensation package is it is negotiated with the hiring committee which is generally the board of the company and senior company people. If they do not think a given CEO candidate is worth some large package of compensation they will in no wise offer it as they have no financial stake in such over compensation if it really is more than they believe the individual is worth as CEO to the company. The compensation they do offer reflects what the market will bear, how much they have to offer to draw the kind of CEO they believe will make and keep the company successful.

You and I have no right whatsover to second guess that compensation package nor any other privately arrived at voluntary financial agreement for employing anyone. It is pure naked envy to do so. Get a life.
