His web site literally explains how he will pay for it.

But the math doesn't add up...

It turns out you don't have to only tax people. It's actually possible to tax corporations.

And those corporations turn around and pass that tax on to people...

Paying $1 when you make $22 is not impossible.

And this is why you believe in Sanders. The GDP includes government spending. You are literally including credit card spending in your income number.

You have to have a basis for your lawsuit. There is nothing in the Constitution that bars a wealth tax.

The Constitution, last time I knew how to read, is a document enumerating the powers of the government. There is nothing in the Constitution that bars a wealth tax, but that doesn't matter. The real point is that there is nothing in the Constitution that gives the government the power to tax wealth. If you think everything not mentioned in the Constitution is up for grabs by the federal government, there's a little 10th Amendment for you... "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

It's simple, you just make up ridiculous numbers for what everyone else calls externalities including mass crop failures, every respiratory ailment death, and the cost of all natural disasters and then stick that big ol number into the "indirect subsidy" column.

I really want to know how people delude themselves into thinking they can take away fossil fuels and lower the cost of electricity and heating... There is a reason we use natural gas and heating oil. Solar and wind ain't going to cut it.

Engineers use acre-feet. They measure the exit flow rate in cubic feet per second. The Imperial system doesn't have a reasonable unit of measure for reservoir sized quantities. Cubic miles are too large, cubic yards too small. And metric aficionados like yourself hate it when engineers make up new units like kilopounds.

Acre-feet are easy to understand even for a layman and are a very reasonable sized unit for a lake whose size is measured in acres and depth measured in feet.

What the hell are you going to do with a 108MP cell phone camera, or a 40MP front camera? Pretty sure 90-95% of those pixels are just noise. If a full frame sensor is good enough with 12.1 MP. Anything more than 5-10MP in a phone camera is useless considering the sensor size and the glass. Plus it's going to immediately get compressed into sub 10MB JPG anyhow.

Every proposed consumption tax would have a prebate specifically to address the ability of the poor to pay for their needs. Consumption taxes are better economically because they discourage overconsumption rather than an income tax which discourages overproduction.

Considering everyone is concerned with waste, pollution, and inefficiency, a consumption tax would improve all of those things. An income tax just punishes the successful.
