Needless to say, no change on my end. Anyway, I have the option ticked (that Slashdot offers) to disable ads. They don't need to be displaying ads, or including trackers.

What ad blocker are you using?

Firefox and uBlock Origin seem to be working fine.

You need to allow "html-load.com" to run JavaScript. I had that blocked in NoScript and got the same thing you saw. I'm also seeing advertising even with the 'No Ads' box checked, except in Chrome, where there's no ads with it checked.

Big, annoying Google Ads showing up all over the page and dragging the experience down. I tried several different configs and nothing works. It's not even possible to block the ads individually.
