  • That's what the headline says, but the article clearly shows it's better to close the lid. Yes stuff still gets out but less of it and not as high. What's needed is a redesign of toilets. A rolling paper seal below the toilet seat would solve this problem. As would a rubber grommet attached t the lid fitting under the seat every time the lid is closed. That would have to be cleaned with each use, but under the current system the seat should be cleaned before each use. A quick spray of alcohol mist after eac
