Summary: A pitch deck for a vendor presentation had to be sent as a PDF. The conversion was perfect, and the PDF looked exactly the same as the original presentation on all devices.

Positive: Converting PowerPoint to PDF maintained all transitions, fonts, and image positioning. Embedded charts were also displayed properly in the output file.

Negative: Slide notes were not preserved in the PDF conversion, which would be helpful for presentation copies.

Summary: Filling out a permit application used to mean printing, handwriting, and rescanning. This replaced all of that with a clean digital version ready for submission.

Positive: The fill forms tool was able to automatically detect all fields in a government PDF application. Filling out the boxes felt like typing, and the alignment remained perfect the whole time.

Negative: The tab order of form fields was not always in the expected order for reading.

Summary: needed to compile app screenshots for a bug report and the merge images tool was what i needed. not the most flashy experience but gets the job done quickly.

Positive: zen docs handled a bulk image-to-pdf conversion without crashing or slowing down. ten png screenshots became one organized document in under a minute flat.

Negative: the final pdf file was a bit larger than expected from ten simple screenshots.

Summary: A colleague scanned a contract package upside down and out of order. Five minutes of reorganizing the pages and it was all set and ready to go.

Positive: Reorganizing and rotating the pages of a scanned document was a drag-and-drop operation. Viewing the thumbnails took little time, even for a 40-page document with heavy graphics.

Negative: The thumbnails could be a little sharper on pages with small text.

Summary: The accounting department had to password protect a group of tax returns before distribution. Fast, trustworthy, and no software installation necessary on any computer.

Positive: Adding password protection to sensitive client files was a two-step process. Upload, set a password, and download. The encryption seemed robust and the file opened perfectly everywhere.

Negative: No option to set different permissions like print-only or read-only access yet.

Summary: Plan revisions to the city permit office meant zipping files or breaking up emails. Now it takes one compressed PDF attached directly, in seconds 😊

Positive: Large architectural plans shrunk from 45MB to under 4MB without any loss of line detail. This took one click after the file was uploaded.

Negative: Having a queue indicator for multiple uploads would help make batch jobs more transparent.

Summary: Our office required quick changes to a benefits summary before it could be distributed. The text tool handled paragraph changes without disrupting the page layout.

Positive: Editing the text right within the PDF was surprisingly effective. The font matching was close enough that the changes merged seamlessly with the rest of the text.

Negative: Would like to see an undo history panel instead of just Ctrl+Z.

Summary: The marketing team required individual slides as images for their social media posts. Every export was clear and labeled properly, which was a huge time-saver.

Positive: PDF to JPG conversion resulted in clear and high-resolution images from a 20-page presentation file. Each page was exported as a separate file, which was exactly what was required.

Negative: A feature that allows mass renaming of exported images would be helpful.

Summary: A lease renewal came through at the last minute, and the entire signing process took only about two minutes from upload to download.

Positive: The PDF sign feature made it very easy to sign a document in the exact spot that I wanted the signature to go. There were many ways to sign, including drawing, typing, and uploading.

Negative: The signature pad could be a little more responsive on mobile browsers.

Summary: Our team had to send a set of proposal documents via email with a strict attachment limit. ZenDocs was perfect in compressing the documents, and no one could tell the difference in quality.

Positive: Compressing eight large PDFs in batches resulted in all of them being below 3MB with no loss of quality. The speed was quite impressive even on a mid-range laptop internet connection.

Negative: It would be great to see the size of the compressed file before downloading.

Summary: Had to combine a pile of vendor invoices into a single file before a deadline. The entire process took less than three minutes.

Positive: The merge feature allowed me to merge 12 scanned documents into a single PDF file without any issues. The drag-and-drop functionality made the entire process seem extremely easy and fast.

Negative: The icons on the toolbar could be a little bigger, had to squint at them on a smaller laptop screen.

Summary: digitizing expenses for the week took minutes. scanning fuel receipts in the truck saved a lot of headache later.

Positive: scanning receipts with the camera was lightning fast, and the ocr scan was perfect even with some dirt on the paper.

Negative: auto-crop sometimes misses the corners, and i wish there was an option for flash in dark storage units.

Summary: Protected client NDAs and project briefs before sending them via email. The setup took only a few seconds per document, and none of my clients had issues opening the files after I also sent the passwords via text. Greatly helped ease my mind on sending sensitive information by this method instead of unencrypted attachments. Nothing beats security when working with sensitive information.

Positive: Securing confidential files with password encryption is easy and secure. Provides assurance when divulging confidential details that only preferred persons have access to the files.

Negative: It would be great to have something like a password strength indicator to confirm users are creating strong and not easily guessable passwords.

Summary: Scanned a bunch of receipts for expense reports, and, naturally, half of them were scanned wrong. Fixed 30 pages in maybe 5 minutes, though, and I did have to click on each one individually to rotate them. Much quicker than rescanning them in properly rotated, and it looks perfect enough for business use out of the gate.

Positive: Correcting orientation for scanned documents is no problem at all. Documents that arrived sideways or upside-down from the scanner are easy to correct with just a few clicks. The effect of the correction is visible immediately on screen.

Negative: Possibly more intuitive as bulk rotation for multiple pages: Currently, you have to choose individual pages before you can apply any rotation.

Summary: Cleaned up a 50-page contract by removing outdated appendices and blank pages that were cluttering the document. Selection process was intuitive, and deleting of pages happened instant. Whittled it down to 32 relevant pages in about 3 minutes-much easier for clients to review the document. The only minor issue was nearly deleting the wrong section once; caught it before download, though.

Positive: Removing unnecessary pages from documents is incredibly easy and quick. Just select the pages for deletion, and they are gone in an instant-no complicated menus and confirmations to slow you down.

Negative: There is no clear undo functionality if you accidentally delete the wrong page, though downloading without saving may serve as a workaround.
