Summary: My PDF file needed to be sent via email, but it was over the size limit for attachments. The Compress PDF tool reduced the file size enough for it to be sent, although having quality options would make this feature more useful when image clarity is the priority.

Positive: Compress PDF tool reduced the file size of a 40MB PDF to about 8MB with no loss of image quality. The processing time was quick, and my computer screen indicated how much space had been saved once everything was finished.

Negative: No option to choose the level of compression for the PDF file before processing. This would be useful for balancing file size and image clarity for certain needs.

Summary: Got the lease renewal notice, and no printer in sight. Uploading my PDF, placing everything in the right position, and sending it right back took only five minutes. ZenDocs took care of everything for me.

Positive: Sign PDF had a smooth and natural feel right from the beginning. Drawing my signature with the trackpad worked well, placing the signature on the right line took only one drag, and exporting everything kept everything sharp and in the right position.

Negative: Adding the option to include initials as another element, in addition to the signature, would speed up the process for multi-page documents that need both on every page.

Summary: Had a stack of receipts that needed to go into one document for an expense report. Uploaded all of them, clicked 'merge,' and my finished document was ready before my coffee even finished brewing. Very straightforward from start to finish.

Positive: It combined six individual documents into one clean document in less than a minute. The page order was exactly as I had uploaded them, and the output quality was identical to the originals without any loss or formatting problems whatsoever.

Negative: The ability to drag and drop to reorder before combining would improve this feature because currently, I have to click arrows to move each file up or down.

Summary: The quarterly budget spreadsheets had to be sent out as locked PDFs for board review. The PDF was an exact replica of the original Excel spreadsheet, which saved a round of reformatting 😊

Positive: The Excel to PDF conversion was perfect in retaining column widths, borders, and conditional formatting colors. Even multi-sheet workbooks were exported into a single file.

Negative: A page break preview before export would be useful for longer spreadsheets.

Summary: A scanned document of 60 pages contained approximately ten blank filler pages. It took less than three minutes to remove them, and the resulting file size was reduced.

Positive: Deleting unnecessary pages from a scanned contract took only one click per page. Viewing the pages in a thumbnail format allowed users to quickly identify blank pages or duplicates.

Negative: Adding functionality to delete multiple pages simultaneously would be helpful.

Summary: The process of reviewing a product spec document with the engineering team was very smooth. All comments were visible, and the exported version captured all the annotations perfectly.

Positive: Marking important parts of the PDF and adding comments was very intuitive from the beginning. The sticky note feature allowed comments to be organized and easily found.

Negative: One thing I wish was possible is to mention or tag collaborators within the annotations.

Summary: A pitch deck for a vendor presentation had to be sent as a PDF. The conversion was perfect, and the PDF looked exactly the same as the original presentation on all devices.

Positive: Converting PowerPoint to PDF maintained all transitions, fonts, and image positioning. Embedded charts were also displayed properly in the output file.

Negative: Slide notes were not preserved in the PDF conversion, which would be helpful for presentation copies.

Summary: needed to compile app screenshots for a bug report and the merge images tool was what i needed. not the most flashy experience but gets the job done quickly.

Positive: zen docs handled a bulk image-to-pdf conversion without crashing or slowing down. ten png screenshots became one organized document in under a minute flat.

Negative: the final pdf file was a bit larger than expected from ten simple screenshots.

Summary: A colleague scanned a contract package upside down and out of order. Five minutes of reorganizing the pages and it was all set and ready to go.

Positive: Reorganizing and rotating the pages of a scanned document was a drag-and-drop operation. Viewing the thumbnails took little time, even for a 40-page document with heavy graphics.

Negative: The thumbnails could be a little sharper on pages with small text.

Summary: The accounting department had to password protect a group of tax returns before distribution. Fast, trustworthy, and no software installation necessary on any computer.

Positive: Adding password protection to sensitive client files was a two-step process. Upload, set a password, and download. The encryption seemed robust and the file opened perfectly everywhere.

Negative: No option to set different permissions like print-only or read-only access yet.

Summary: Plan revisions to the city permit office meant zipping files or breaking up emails. Now it takes one compressed PDF attached directly, in seconds 😊

Positive: Large architectural plans shrunk from 45MB to under 4MB without any loss of line detail. This took one click after the file was uploaded.

Negative: Having a queue indicator for multiple uploads would help make batch jobs more transparent.

Summary: Our office required quick changes to a benefits summary before it could be distributed. The text tool handled paragraph changes without disrupting the page layout.

Positive: Editing the text right within the PDF was surprisingly effective. The font matching was close enough that the changes merged seamlessly with the rest of the text.

Negative: Would like to see an undo history panel instead of just Ctrl+Z.

Negative: The signature pad could be a little more responsive on mobile browsers.
