Summary: Initially a very positive experience and would recommend to others. Now that the pricing structure has changed, no longer recommend. We are a not for profit business and unable to keep using this program.
Positive: Very easy to learn and use. New staff picked it up quickly.
Ability to hold conversation or send a no reply SMS. Was good to have both options.Negative: Pricing structure.

We used to be able to send an SMS under our dedicated number or via a shared number. The pricing structure changed and we then had to purchase individual numbers for each account which was no longer cost effective. We have now switched providers. -

Aggressive payment scale often captures payments without consent.
Lack of complaint/STOP review process.
We have lost customers due to erroneous STOP/Cancellation messaging, only to have them come back to resubscribe. We would very much have liked to have had a chance to respond to cancellation requests to ensure that a user understood the process. There is an implication given that we are spamming users and that is neither true or applicable. -

Disapointed at introduction of excessive charge for Sender ID Date: Jun 03 2023
Summary: Have been very happy with TextMagic for many years and would have accepted a reasonable price increase to reflect increased running costs. However, Sender ID jumping from zero to £10 a month does make us consider alternative solutions.
Positive: Reliable and low cost for sending SMS.
Negative: Exorbitant price introduced for Sender ID. Cost went from zero to £10 a month.

Great tool for managing our outbound texts Date: May 20 2024
Summary: Good, but wish there were a rate for users that are under 1000/texts month. The cost of .049/message starts to add up.
Positive: Good tool to manage users and see history of our work, integrates easily with Make our integration app.
Negative: We only use it for our internal work and average around 800/texts per month. The costs start to add up because we don't use it enough for an inclusive plan.

Summary: Overall happy with the product and experience. Design is easy to navigate and use. The template field is very handy!
Positive: Textmagic is easy to use and perfect for short messages for communication with patients and parents.
Negative: Unable to send/receive photos. Which in term leads us to using another platform, and communication usually just transfers there.

Summary: Overall, highly recommend for small enterprises! Easy to use, reliable, support gets back to you quickly and pricing is competitive. If you are a larger organisation, then this software will be challenging to scale with until they come up with more enterprise-level solutions.
Positive: Very intuitive interface for my team to learn.
Simple functionality.
Able to login to subaccounts so that we are all sending SMS from one number.
Chat view is highly useful for ongoing dialogue with customers.Negative: Hard to scale with if you are trying to have only one inbound/outbound number, as there is no ability to assign conversations to different people or assign statuses, like in most contact centre softwares. There is meant to be a feature called Shared Inbox coming out but I'm unable to get my hands on it even when I enquire.

Summary: Overall I have been happy with TextMagic and at this point switching would be a lot of effort, so I stay.
Positive: TextMagic is no frills, that's what I like about it. Pay as you go (with a monthly fee for your line).
Negative: The website can sometimes be confusing. I used to recommend TextMagic to everyone, but feel unsure after they raised their prices. Sure, it is still overall very affordable, but as a fledgling business, every dollar counts for me. One of the reasons I initially chose TextMagic out of all their competitors is that I could receive incoming texts for free - that is no longer the case. Additionally, I can't figure out a way to talk to customer service without having to pay to talk to customer service, that's kind of disappointing.

Summary: I enjoy using the product to reach out to people. Gives another source to reach out in an easier method.
Positive: The product is easy to use and allows you to keep templates if you do multiple texts. Great way to reach people.
Negative: Recent price increase and foreign currency fees. I keep a balance but when I need to increase my balance, I have to pay foreign currency fees with the payment amount.

Summary: I was happy on the second time I used it because I had help from Tech Support and everything worked great.
I would recommend to new users, make sure you have all your contact information in the message and your website, every time.Positive: I am using this in a church environment. I retired as a computer engineer, but have been a Pastor before medical issues had me step down. I am now a member of a great church but lacking experience in technology, so I have stepped into the role of technology there.
Of course, sending a message to many people at once is a wonderful help to get messages out. I am using TextMagic to get invites and messages out.
I have only successfully used it once, but I believe it will be a great help with growing the church with new members and visitors.Negative: The first time I used it, the messages did not go out. I did not have everything set up correctly, but of course I did not know that.

If TextMagic could come up with an abbreviated instruction set TEXT and VIDEO with a check list to make sure everything is set up. They may have one, but it is not obvious to get to. Maybe a button for first time users that says Quick Setup. -

Summary: I am very pleased with this service and happy to have it part of my workflow. I hardly leave voice messages with customers, some don't even listen to them any more, I just text the info I have to communicate to the recipient and vice a versa.
Positive: As a small business, Photography, this is perfect. My business is seasonal and I like the idea of pay as you go. The interface is easy to navigate. I can use my original existing business phone number so people can use the same number for voice and text. The mobile app allows me to view and respond to activity where ever I am. But since I work a lot on my computer, there is a desktop app that was a must have, and for me I would rather process my work thru the computer. I seen some don't have desktop apps.
Negative: So if you are more out and about away from the computer the mobile app works seamlessly. Not sure if this con affects others but on my computer the app has a tendency to disconnect from the network after long period of non activity on the computer. Easy fix is when I go on computer I restart the app itself. I miss not having auto correct spelling. But it makes me a better speller. :-)

Summary: I used TextMagic to text-enable our business landline. Handy to be able to tell people on a mobile phone they can just text a picture to "this number".
I use the TextMagic website to send and receive SMS. Presumably there's other competing services that do the same thing, but TextMagic works very well. It's helpful to be able to look back at previous conversations... The interface is clean and easy to use. I am very happy with TextMagic.
I don't know if it's expensive, really, but I think I get good value for money with TextMagic.Positive: The ability to send texts from a landline- to be able to type on a full-size keyboard vs a phone.
Negative: Nothing really- it has been a useful tool.

Summary: I've used Textmagic for years in my role as a Motor Vehicle Sales Manager and it is simply the best way to contact new and existing customers. So many people will not answer a call if they do not recognise a number but everyone reads a text.
Communicating this way also means there is a record of what was said so there is no doubt later on.Positive: It's simple to use a reasonably inexpensive.
I like the layout, notifications and reporting.
It lets me know both by sound on my PC and an email when a customer has responded to a text I've sent.Negative: There is nothing about TM that I do not like.
