Summary: After half a year, we couldn't be happier with our move to FolksHR. The system is intuitive, highly customizable, affordable and an efficient tool that has brought some much needed structure to our daily operations. For any business looking to modernize their processes and gain back some valuable time, this system is a fantastic investment backed by an even better support team!

Positive: FolksHR has been a complete game changer for streamlining our internal processes and workflows. Since implementing it around 6 months ago, we've eliminated nearly all our manual spreadsheets and calendar tracking but centralizing performance management, time away and onboarding. The automations, especially for performance, certifications and onboarding, has removed a lot of the admin bottlenecks that used to slow us down. FolksHR has put the power in the employees hands, and allowed our management team to focus on the employee experience and the people rather than the paperwork. The support from the Folks Team we've received from day one of program shopping to full integration has made the entire process smooth and enjoyable!

Negative: The platform is excellent for day to day operations, though we’d love to see more advanced customization in the reporting module for complex data analysis. Additionally, while it covers all the essentials, the list of third-party integrations is a bit more curated compared to some of the larger global platforms.

Summary: Folks does exactly what I need it to do: it keeps my time, requests, and HR requirements organized in one reliable place. As someone working in technical support, where scheduling and availability matter, having this level of clarity is extremely helpful.

It improves transparency, reduces administrative friction, and helps me stay on top of responsibilities without added complexity. I would recommend it to organizations looking for a clean, dependable HR management solution.

Positive: As a Technical Support Agent at a Montreal-based software company, I use Folks primarily for time management and HR-related tracking. It handles my vacations, personal and mobile absences, sick days, accumulated banked hours, and pending time-off requests in one place.
What I appreciate most is the visibility. I can quickly see how many vacation days remain, how many banked hours I’ve accumulated, and the status of any requests awaiting approval. There’s no guesswork or need for back-and-forth emails to confirm balances.

The system also tracks certificates that need renewal, including self-evaluation forms and required quarterly and annual submissions. The automated reminders are especially helpful in ensuring that I stay compliant and don’t miss important deadlines.
I also appreciate that anniversaries and milestones are tracked. It adds a small but meaningful human touch to the platform.

The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate. I didn’t need any training to begin using it effectively.

Negative: The platform is focused and practical rather than flashy. Some additional dashboard customization options could be fun, particularly for users who prefer a more personalization.

Summary: 10/10 would highly recommend for everyone to use. The program is very user friendly and easy to navigate.

Positive: I love that everything is on the main page now. Everything you need is right there. As soon as you sign in, all your info is on the main screen that an employee would need to see at first glance. Very user friendly!

Summary: Folks is a very user-friendly and reliable timesheet solution. It makes logging and approving hours quick and efficient, and I really appreciate how everything is centralized for payroll and HR tracking. The platform saves me time each week, and the customer support is always responsive and helpful.

On the downside, I think the mobile experience could be smoother and some customization/reporting features could be expanded. Still, overall, Folks is a great tool that simplifies time management for both employees and managers.

Summary: The best HR Software. Everything you need is centralized in one place. Very easy to ask your vacation and for your director to approved it.

Positive: Very user-friendy. All employee information is centralized in one place while complying with Law 25.

Negative: You need to open each individual profile to access certain documents or notes.

Summary: Overall, it’s user-friendly and well designed, which really helps when you're just getting started. I’m looking forward to exploring more features and seeing how it supports daily tasks over time.

Positive: I'm new to Folks, but so far I really appreciate how simple and user-friendly it is. The interface is clean and pleasant, and the clearly labeled icons with their comfortable size make everything easy on the eyes.

It would be helpful if the left-hand menu displayed the subsections under each main section, so navigation could be quicker and more direct. On the Timesheet page, being able to view the current week along with the previous and following weeks would provide a better overview and help catch errors or missed entries more easily. These are not major issues but small changes that could make an already solid tool even more efficient.

I also appreciated the customer support. When I had questions or ran into something I didn’t understand, even if our HR staff had to reach out to Folks HR, the response came back quickly and was helpful.

I have been using Folks HR for a couple of years. Getting started was smooth. Our HR team took care of the setup, and learning to use it was straightforward. Overall, it has been a useful tool for handling everyday HR tasks and saving time.

Negative: I don't have many criticisms about Folks HR. However, one feature I would like to see is the ability to view subsections directly under the main sections on the left-hand menu. For example, under Time Management, it would be helpful to see options like Absences, Vacations, Banked Hours, or Timesheet listed right away, so I could click on them directly from the main page.

On the Timesheet page, it would also be helpful to view the current week along with the previous and next weeks. This could make it easier to spot upcoming irregularities, such as national holidays, or to notice anything I may have forgotten to complete in the previous week.
