Summary: Have been using this system for almost 10 years and have not been disappointed. Changes we requested have been taking under consideration and a lot were implemented. Emails keep us informed of upcoming enhancement and regulatory issues.
Positive: Features are great and easy to understand. Constant updates to improve customer experience. Customer service is exceptional. Can get someone on the phone when you need a quick answer.
Negative: With a smaller provider there will be some limitations with integration to other vendors.

Summary: Overall, I am happy with the system. It has been a learning curve, because things aren't always super intuitive, but it can do everything I need it to do.
Positive: I like that it is an all-in-one solution for payroll, HR, benefits, and onboarding. This system has a ton of capability and is very customizable.
Negative: Everything is very manual, with not much in terms of automated flows. A lot of changes have to be made individually for each employee rather than group actions.

Summary: Our support team responds with clarification, suggestions, screenshots and tips within minutes of my asking a question.
Positive: The tech support from our APS team is nothing short of exceptional! Resources are shared in a prompt and clear manner on both the benefits and the HR side.
Negative: The only con related to customer service would be the fact that we are on Pacific team and the team appears to be eastern standard.

Summary: A bumpy start but good follow up. They have taken great care in ensuring we are happy with our services. The small team that is assigned to our office is a great value. The answer quickly and you can actually get them on the phone for more immediate matters and send emails for those that can wait the day or two.
Positive: Great ease of use. OSHA tracking is wonderful. Great communication platforms for forms. Time clock is great and easy to use. A personal team for support after set up is excellent.
Negative: Difficult to get data needed for hours, benefit calculation was difficult to understand and implement.

Summary: It has been such a huge help as far as taking a load off of my activities and my daily duties, as well as the monthly and quarterly duties as well.
Positive: I love the reports and the ease of fixing things when my employees forget to clock in. I love the ability to setup holidays and the ease of seeing everything that payroll has to offer. I love the direct deposit options that are available. The customer service is great and they are always very prompt and helpful
Negative: I do have a little trouble finding things the with the amount of detail that I would like, but usually once I reach out for help I find everything that I need.

Summary: Over all for the price that's a pretty decent system. They are making updates and changes to it constantly improve it.
Positive: I like that the system is easy to use. It is very user friendly. Our staff also learned it very quickly.
Negative: I don't like the FMLA tracker. We still need to track it using a spread sheet. The customer service is OK most of the time but there have been issues with them taking a real long time to get back to me when I have questions that need immediate attention. A manager did reach out to me regarding this.

The payroll module is okay but you have to reactivate terminate employees in order to pay them. It's a pain to have to explain to auditors.

Summary: Overall we enjoy using APS and it helps eliminate lots of manual payroll entries. Employees can track and keep up with their own records and payroll related items.
Positive: We love that APS can handle all our time and attendance needs as well as handling taxes for the company. We don't have to worry that things will not get done.
Negative: Sometimes we need reports that are not available and then to get what we need we have to pay extra for it.

Summary: I think this system is just as good if not better than the big names like ADP. I have found that the pricing is comparable if not better than other processors. It's very easy to use compared to ADP Workforce Now and has just as many features.

Negative: Very disappointed that 24 hours processing is an extra fee. I have not encountered an a 48 hour processing window in 10+ years and I've never been charged in order to process within 24 hours of the payday.

Summary: Overall, we would absolutely recommend APS to anyone looking for a new HRIS system. It takes some time to get used to, but it's been a godsend for our mid-sized organization.
Positive: APS has incredible customer service, from sales, to onboarding, to ongoing user support. Our dedicated support team is always quick to help me no matter what kind of question it is.
Negative: While the APS Hire to Payroll integration is fantastic, some of the other sections within APS online could integrate better together- for example, there is a performance management module but you can't pull in data from the attendance or events modules.

Summary: Overall, we are using APS payroll functions successfully. There are a couple of areas that we do not utilize, as we feel it is not relevant to us currently or we do not wish to pay the additional service cost.
Our employees are comfortable with eSELFSERVE and are satisfied with the real time access that it gives them to their personal information.Positive: We left our former payroll company and chose APS initially for some of the following reasons;
• Their demo/presentation process was very thorough and inclusive of additional time for hands on exploration of both Employer and Employee pieces. I reached out to a couple references which were supportive of using APS.
• They have all of the standard payroll functions in place including Sage/Peachtree compatibility. Provide 3-4 dedicated customer services representatives who will be familiar with our specific account and able to provide best practice advice. , build reports and are APA certified knowing local jurisdiction and tax laws.
• Very proactive with providing immediate updates on IRS/PPP/FFCRA, etc. which includes specific details as to how it will affect both the employee and the employer from a business/payroll perspective. Providing best practice information. (Which is how I discovered APS in the first place while searching out information on PPP in May/June 2020, as my payroll provider at the time was unable to provide guidance)Negative: There are a few things I'd like to see improvement.

-Quicker resolution to items escalated to "support" for fixes needed.
-More proactive communication when there are issues that others have reported that may affect our or our employees use of the payroll system and/or eSELFSERVE. It would be great if APS could send out an Admin. notification upon learning of validated issues rather than being reactive when an Admin. reaches out with the particular issue. This would help by keeping us in the loop and to be able to be more proactive in notifying/responding to our staff. Summary: Overall, I enjoy paperless, weekly paystubs, and no need to keep paperwork organized for tax time!!
Positive: I can pull my tax documents right from this app. As soon as I receive the email indicating that I have a payroll item, I go to the app to review my weekly pay and deductions.
Negative: There are fields with no information available...ie, documents. I am unsure why this field is shown.
