The AgeShield ID Scanner is an application designed for use in bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and retail establishments across the United States. It operates on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices that staff members already own, eliminating the need for any additional hardware purchases.
Users can scan various forms of identification such as driver's licenses, state IDs, green cards, or passports to verify a guest's age in relation to the venue's minimum age requirements while also checking for expiration dates and matches against lists of banned, VIP, and regular patrons. The app includes a feature for performing fake ID checks on barcodes from licenses and state IDs, and it continues to function effectively even without an internet connection.
All scans are recorded in the AgeShield web hub, which provides an exportable audit log documenting each scan and the decisions made, along with information on who performed the scan and when. Additionally, it offers analytics regarding peak hours, guest demographics, staff roles, and management across multiple venues. Each venue can customize the retention of guest information on a field-by-field basis.
The service allows for simultaneous scanning on three devices, enabling checks at the entrance, the bar, and server stations all at once. The SnugFit O&P 3D Scanner App, developed with the support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), instantly captures 3D information of the body part for orthotics and prosthetics. The 3D Body Scanner app does not require an external structured-light sensor. It uses the TrueDepth front-facing sensor on an iPhone or iPad to acquire 3D data. Core is $499 per venue per year ($41.58/month equivalent billed annually) or $49 per venue/month. Pro is $699 per venue/year ($58.25/month equivalent billed annually) or $69 per venue/month. Each plan includes three concurrent scanning devices. Extra slots are $13.86/month equivalent on annual Core billing ($16.33 monthly) and $19.42/month equivalent on annual Pro billing ($23 monthly). The first venue gets a 14-day Pro-feature trial; a card is required, and after the trial it defaults to Core monthly at $49 unless another plan is chosen or the trial is canceled. Prices exclude sales tax.
