Scott Adams Tweet Sums Up So Much

  • You may want to consider the fact that your team wants to push policy that is rigged to only benefit 10% of the population. Maybe if you actually took the entire country into account when writing policy you might not need to gerrymander and rig elections to win them.

Most people realize the that first three attempts at Reaganomics were all terrible. Yet your team wants to try it a fourth time, as if there is some reason to expect different results.

If you want to impress me (having served as an Election Officer for the last decade+ now) talk to me about election security.

Did you intentionally move the goalposts there or are you not aware of the difference between election rigging and election security? They have similarities but they are absolutely not the same thing. Your team's endless gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement is absolutely election rigging. The bullshit your team sells as "election security" is also in and of itself election rigging.

If you have a high-value process (and there are $T at stake with the election outcome)
coupled with relatively low likelihood for getting caught, and
scant enforcement for actually getting caught,
then you're going to have the kind of shenanigans afoot that we always seem to.

Oh, just clutch your pearls and collapse onto the fainting couch, girl. This is a bitchy legal process, and to claim that either side is banging the rules harder than the other is utterly speciou

          • My pointing out that you moved the goalposts is not at all any kind of indication of not wanting to discuss the matter; merely I pointed out that you changed the subject in a subtle but significant way.

            When you say

scant enforcement for actually getting caught,

It's hard not to see that as you justifying your team's endless efforts to overturn elections and also to discourage legitimate voters from participating at all. The way that your team so desperately clutches to power should actually cause members to do some navel gazing - why is it that su

This is false. Serving as an election officer, and generalizing to all reasonable people, the point is that every legal ballot should be cast. The accusation about "discourage legitimate voters" doesn't happen in the slightest in areas with which I'm familiar. You could provide specific evidence of such, but you're too busy screaming about "facts" while spewing allegations.

I am aware of several current cases of your team committing egregious acts of gerrymandering.

As usual, I am providing zero (0) defense of the GOP. But if you want to impress me, codify algorithms to calculate districts. Move the

Why would your team ever accept such efforts, when the gerrymandering that they have proudly and shamelessly produced have brought about such profound results for them?

It's a pretty simple check really. If the percent difference in votes cast does not match the percent difference in representation, then the map is gerrymandered. Your team has of course made this into an artform, and several states have severe skew in representation.

                • Why would your team ever accept such efforts,

Well, I mean, you're certainly entitled to pretend that there is an iota of difference between either end of the Deep State turd. It's not as though I could take you any less seriously for all that.

                  • Your team has a distinct tendency to tell voters what their will is, rather than allow them to express it themselves. Clearly, some people don't mind that kind of fascist activity.

                    Deep State

That word bite comes out from your team from time to time, and you expect sane people to understand and agree with what you mean by it. Just because you put an obese moron in charge in 2016 (in spite of the fact that he lost the total vote count) and then he lost the vote (again) in 2020, doesn't mean there was a "Deep State" c

I realize that pointing out the organizational behavior aspects of our government triggers you.

Bury your head in the sand in the face of simple reality, if it comforts you.
                    • I realize that pointing out the organizational behavior aspects of our government triggers you.

I try hard not to assume to know what you are thinking. I wish you would afford me the same courtesy. I'm pretty sure I've made that request of you before.

By "Deep State" I mean the unavoidable drift of a homo bureaucratus infestation run amok.

Interesting that when any such thing benefits your team - and it happens often - you don't see fit to use the term "Deep State".

                    • I try hard not to assume to know what you are thinking.

                      Really?

And yet you presume I have some "team" loyalty. Your insistence on a "mine/your" breakdown remains a source of continuous hilarity. The Deep State is an organizational behavior effect of bureaucracy. The sun also rises in the East. Ho hum.

                    • any such thing benefits your team

The words you have written here show you have great loyalty to the GOP. You have more than once discarded values that you claimed to hold dear, to support instead whatever movement your team endorses that year. Your enthusiastic support of fringe theories - notable 100% of them targeting those who are not on your team - further shows how far you will go to support your team.

The Deep State is an organizational behavior effect of bureaucracy.

They really don't, no matter your pretending.

Your team has created great legions of bureaucracy. You don't seem to mind their existence in the least. You notably never suggest that they are part of some great "Deep State", either.

My hypothesis is that you're just trolling, which is fair, as I have certainly trolled you a sizeable percentage of the time. Because I've stated repeatedly that all of this mess is of a single piece.
