What's really sad is that out of the Box, with any of the included themes, Drupal (the software, not the homepage for the software, which does run the software, but somewhat customized) degrades gracefully with scripts disabled. Not only does the default site still render fine, but all the functionality works. The only thing javascript changes in that way is that there are some AJAXy modules which reduce the number of full page loads you perform for a given process. I tried using NoScript for a few weeks, and there was only one Web page I visited that didn't depend upon scripting -- and that was one I created, to check that Apache was running.
