Journal drinkypoo's Journal: RSS, Wherefore art Thou? 7

GOG once had RSS and then redesigned their site, now it is gone. I love to use RSS, but it seems to be less and less popular among the sites I wish to keep up with. Thankfully, Slashdot still has it. And in other update news, I found something which the new interface does better than the old interface... I don't have to race the journals interface any more.

  • I see they just added Police Quest 1-4 in a single download, as well as Return to Zork. However I'm still waiting to see if they'll ever add Leisure Suit Larry - if they do that, then they'll get some money form me :)

    • no, that appears to be it. their forums are FILLED with comments asking where it is. how did you find it?

      • I wondered what the site was about and went to it, and saw the subscribe link in my site navigation bar (it should show up in the address bar if you don't have the nav bar) and then I double checked it in the source. Maybe they just added it back?

        • I didn't get an RSS icon from their front page. Maybe I just didn't enable enough scripts, though the rest of the site was working.

          • I had full abp and noscript on - no sign of a feed link on the page, but it shows up twice in my browser UI. Even vanilla FF 2.0 - 3.6 should show it once.

            Although looking around, it seem FF4 is making yet another poor design decision - they are removing the feed icon from the address bar because less than 3% of people ever clicked it. Of course, if it is gone 0% will ever click it... They are putting a "subscribe to this page" link the bookmark menu instead, whi
