
Journal pudge's Journal: National Offense Day 3
I declare the last Friday in August, ever year, to be National Offense Day. This year it will be August 31st.
On this day, you will take offense at everything. And thereby, hopefully, get it out of your system.
So, for example, you would take offense at this journal entry, saying I am destroying America by encouraging people to be offensive, or perhaps by diluting the importance that offense has in holding together the fabric of society.
And so on.

There's nothing wrong with being offended. It's the expectation that something be done about it that we need to get out of our systems. Being offended is not "a problem that must have a solution", it's just a temporary personal state. Like I'm wearing blue today. No one need address that fact. Nor care. Taking offense is one's personal business, being merely an internal conflict between inputs into one's mind and one's personal values.
