Journal grub's Journal: Some Slashdot policies outright suck. 19
Why does
I was out of town doing work for a while and decided to reply to a comment to something a few days ago from work. I got the ominous "you can't post because of trolling from your subnet" or whatever message. As of today it's been several days since I could post from work and now my home subnet is blocked. My workplace has ~200 people, many of whom read
Trolling is lame though
Nah, the odd troll can be fun (and funny.) I've written to the listed address and had a short reply to my first email (basically "tough luck") and no reply to my subsequent queries. I'm certain that I wasn't the only guilty party in the trolling from my subnet, actually my trolling isn't too common.
So why do you subscribe?
I'm not going to anymore. This is bullshit.
I have no idea if their filters will allow me to post this to my journal but here goes nothing...
update
I can't reply to any posts within my journal but I can edit my journal entry. So I'll take this moment to thank everyone for the kind words.
UPDATE:2004-06-22 it appears I can post from my home subnet again. Haven't tried from work as I'm on holidays right now. Time to (slightly) change the sig.
UPDATE:2004-06-28 I still can't post from work but can from home. Fucking idiots.
