+ - Last mile connectivity ... options?

Submitted by TihSon
TihSon (1065170) writes "I am in Canada, so I am looking for answers related to the great white north, but I would think this question applies to anyone, anywhere. What I want to know is simple; what are my options for last mile connectivity besides the obvious Shaw/Rogers/Bell cable offerings? Reading this article yesterday didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but it did remind me of something I have been trying to fix for a long time.

That's it. If it takes a twenty foot satellite in the back yard to get rid of these clowns, so be it, but rid of them I want to be! :-)"
