I honestly don't care if they're getting paid or not... 99% of them are so easy to spot it's laughable. Always look at their history, if it's mostly Russian conflict stories then *ping* They'll refer to NATO or Ukraine as fascist *ping* They LOVE to use a basic western first name and claim to be American. Ironically when they're pretending to be American they're typically support a conservative stance politically.

The computer are just fine, format and reinstall. The data (files, database, pdf, doc) are locked and encrypted. That's what worth something to pay for... or not.

I was told a story of a technical draftsman, who specialized in farm equipment for a very well known company. He literally placed a scrotum (where's Waldo style) in all his technical drawings. The guy was so good that instead of reprimanding him or some other such punishment, they actually assigned a person to find and remove the scrotum from each drawing before sending them out.
