well that exactly is the joke that windows mobile 6.5 is more full flavored operating system than windows 8 rt or windows phone 7/8.

so you have all the scamware and nothing "must have" in the appstores. heck, they initially tried to tell that you'll need to use the appstore to download 8.1 update for x86 windows 8. but guess what? you'd be a real voodoo man if you could dodge all the prompts to install the 8.1 update that get shoved to your face!!

militarization of american police is on going and is about money mostly. not about being outgunned or shit like that - and also about the short training needed to be a copper in the USA and the shit ass stupid attitudes like "you shoot only to kill!" that are not standard in other western countries..

Which is fairly common.

and really, the places where it's like that is where the taxis are lobbying for banning uber. it would be rather easy to check out available uber taxis and check if they have license or not and smack them with the appropriate fines if not. but if you want to protect your roaming or taxi pole mafia, then you need to ban the whole concept.

When you play a bridge tournament, you play as part of a 4-person team. All the cards are dealt and placed in boards such that once they're played, they're replaced back as the North, South, East, or West hand.

Now your team of 4 is split into two partnerships, one playing all the N/S hands, one playing all the E/W hands. For any given hand of N,S,E,W, what counts isn't what your partnership does on your cards (either N/S or E/W), it's the delta between what your other partnership scored and what you scored. So, if you and X are playing North/South, and your other team members are playing E/W, then for every hand its your score - their score becomes your team score for that deck of cards.

In this way, there is no element of luck. Every team plays the same cards, every team plays both pairings (N/S and E/W), and only the difference matters. It's pure skill, both in bidding what you will make, and then playing the cards to actually make your bid. You can "win" the deck by causing someone who bid a grand-slam to lose a trick, and get the maximum points for that deck to your team.

Bridge is a truly excellent game. Simple rules, but incredibly challenging to execute correctly every time.

it's not really news that unlimited in USA means "yo this is limited more than some small countrys 3g was in 2004".

if there was any control of the advertising then they shouldn't be calling it unlimited hsdpa or whatever unless you could actually max out the advertised connection speed for at least a day. now you'll hit the limits in mere hours or even under a hour.. which is silly.

The one astronaut was also the leader of the space program.

so what? I mean, if the program consisted of anything else than just begging a ride for one person to ISS from Russia/USA/EU then the leader calling it quits would have not had any affect at all.

but if the program consisted just of training her and her using 25 million dollars for a ticket to the ISS then sure, if she calls it quits then the program is at end - and she already went to the ISS so the program was a smashing success.

doing a rocket of their own would need a fair bit more of cash and an actual space program.

Now, the entire South Korean space program it seems consisted of just paying Russia 20 mil to deliver a bio engineer into ISS and back - and she's been in business school for the past 4 years it seems. ...but, why would you even call that a space program? just to piss on north korea?
