ChanSkype is a true Asterisk channel driver, allowing outbound calls to either Skype peers or the SkypeOut service. Inbound call to the Asterisk box are in development, with scheduled delivery for late September. According to Paulo Mannheimer, Instant Solutions CEO, "ChanSkype slashes the barriers that once existed between Aterisk open source VoIP platforms and Skype's proprietary network".
