I am a charity. If I do less than US$40k/yr, I am left alone. I plan on using bitcoin for all my transactions as soon as possible. It makes donating cheaper, easier. Its just what I have been wanting. Its like mana from heaven. I will keep a log, but the proof is on the government, not me.

But if I had one prediction for bitcoin, it will cause 2 things, a) everything will move offshore, a) a second-tier internet will emerge, people wanting to use it offshore.

I like my chromebook, except for the dreaded-hinge. If the hinge were replaceable, I would buy another one. But alas, my hinge went out too fast for a $300 pricetag. While I am on my hinge-rant, my macair hinge went out in 5years, ($300 to replace). But my best machine is my Sony Vaio which if freakin awesome hinge still going strong after 8years of abuse.

ok, lets see, I may agree with you. You want the PC and HTML to not have DRM. If thats what you mean, I agree with you. Keep the pipe open.
So, if I choose DRM model, I must use Silverlight or something outside the browser....
So maybe we agree.

This is bogus. As others have said, "DRM done right doesn't get in the way". I don't see how anyone can build any software without DRM. Sure, I love Open Source, but businesses need stuff that works the way they want. We want to pay some money, have lots of competition and plan our businesses. I publish all kinds of free stuff, I pirate [some] movies, but I understand the balance here and don't advocate Anarchy (no DRM, steal everything) mentality.

Pirate our Speed Limit App. I am sure its out somewhere. We planned for it...

Comment Variable Speed Limit future (Score 1) 400

Tech will change along the way. First, St Louis has Variable-Speed-Limits. IMHO, VSL's should be everywhere. To entice truckers to drive at night, offer this: 8pm-8am 80mph. Second of course is that we will get cruise controls like this.. Eventually we will just use highways exclusively, turn on our google-cruise and sit back and surf. If you have something to do in a car, you don't mind getting somewhere 10 minutes later.
So the future will be full of drone-cars delivering pizzas, and drone-drivers surfing porn in private and no one speeding.
