In one of my programming projects, I need a decent XHTML viewer with CSS support. The project is to be used in a Windows environment, so the standard web browser was not a good choice. A lot of users will have Internet Explorer as default browser, which has a lot of problems rendering CSS.

Previously I figured out how to boot Linux using grub commands. However, after e.g. a failed Linux installation, booting Windows can be useful as well.

Since my TCP/IP experiments with FreeDOS were not that successfull (could not get clients to work), I upgraded to (brr!) Windows 3.11. The Kotnet page on TCP/IP for Windows 3.11 turned out to be very useful.
I managed to install TCP/IP networking on an old 386 computer with 4MB of memory and a 3Com Etherlink III ISA nic. You need Microsoft's Network Client for MS-DOS, and an example of tcputils.ini is helpful to make DNS work.
