Because you're mistaking Diplomats for Politicians. They aren't the same. Diplomats are supposed to provide a "public face" to that country's government while being brutally honest with their own. Diplomats have more in common with company spokesmen than politicians. Basically what Wikileaks did is damage all of our "brand spokesmen" at once. There will probably be a huge diplomat shuffle as a result of this to restore the "brand image".

Blender 3D 2.49 44

terrywallwork writes "A while back I received an email from the people at Packt publishing telling me of a new book they had just put out, and since any email the mentions the possibility of being able to read new Blender books instantly gets my attention, I clicked the link and was presented with a web page detailing a book called Blender 3D 2.49 - Architecture, Buildings and Scenery. This was confusing as I remember having reviewed a book with almost the same title and identical cover picture. So I went to my reviews and checked and sure enough I found a review with the same book cover and almost the same title. So I deleted the email and just put it down to an automated email snafu. Unfortunately I should not have been so quick with the delete button as it turned out to be an updated version of the previous book they put out." Read on to see what Terry thinks of this book.

If Sweden, like several other EU members still are part of the NATO treaty, there's classified information provisions in that treaty that will actually make this backfire on TPP. The government will just classify the server and it'll be moved offline, and there will be nothing LEGALLY they can do about it, as they cannot influence the classifications if they are not the originator.

Because the WBC is clearly a pack of nutjobs, and they aren't the 2nd largest group of Christians. If severoon is correct, that'd be a better comparison if it was against, say, Catholics. WBC is our religious nuts, just like the Moro Islamic Liberation Front is yours. (Nothing against them, I just love the acronym!)

Submission + - JC Penney Tried to Block Publication of Breach (itworld.com)

itwbennett writes: Claiming that the disclosure would cause 'confusion and alarm,' JC Penney fought to keep its name secret during court proceedings related to the Heartland data breach, in which more than 130 million credit card numbers were stolen. JC Penney attorney Michael D. Ricciuti wrote that disclosing the company's identity 'may discourage other victims of cybercrimes to report the criminal activity or cooperate with enforcement officials for fear of the retribution and reputational damage that may arise from a policy of disclosure as espoused by the government in this case.'
