Mightee writes: "A study by science experts shows that only 10 percent of the species that live on this planet have been discovered and 90 percent of the species have yet to be discovered.

The study which was published in the open journal by the name of PLoS Biology, increases the possible amount of species that share this planet with us. The journal says that only 1.2 million species have been discovered and named so far, and more than 9 million species have yet to be discovered."

Submission + - Astronomers Discover "Diamond" Planet (gizmocrazed.com)

Mightee writes: "Boy O' Boy! Astronomers have discovered a planet orbiting around a tiny star, which seems to be made of diamond and lies 4,000 light years away from Earth.

The newly discovered planet is far more dense than any other in the universe, and contains huge carbon content which is calculated to be in crystalline(diamond) form due to planet's highly dense nature. The high density also suggests that lighter elements like helium and hydrogen are not present."

Submission + - Why QR Codes Are Here to Stay [OPINION] (mashable.com)

Mightee writes: "If you raise the subject of QR codes among tech early adopters, you are likely to elicit a passionate response. Some people think QR codes, those scanable black and white squares on everything from billboards to product packaging, are on an unstoppable growth trajectory, while skeptics are quick to dismiss them as a fad.

This reaction is common whenever new technology formats or standards are being decided upon. Pundits want to exhibit their knack for predicting the future and stakeholders (of which I am undeniably one) want to make sure their format wins out. The general public, meanwhile, tends to lay in wait for a particular format to show dominance."

Some of these patents have completely changed the face of the company which includes the iPod's Click Wheel and the iTunes store. These services have not only served the consumers but also some musicians who can now safely broadcast their music."

Submission + - Women Own the Majority of Ereaders [STATS] (mashable.com) 1

Mightee writes: "Women are particularly taking to ereaders, according to data from Nielsen. Sixty-one percent of ereaders are now owned by women, compared to 46% in the third quarter of 2010. This largely why many women’s magazines are reporting better sales on the Nook than the iPad."
