libertarians are all about personal property, until it conflicts with another of their interests (often big business, but not always).

it's a quick way to tell what they really want. there's no really fundamental libertarian reason to not protect personal data as property; it's just that the vogue in pop-libertarianism right now is to strip consumer rights in favor of tech companies. why? well, maybe because pop-libertarians are techies, and they want that shit.

awesome. we've managed to find something even more degenerate than actual sports, or even just playing video games, to pour time and money into.

don't even bother telling me it's actually great because, hey, people are paying for it! some people pay to have other people shit in their mouths. that's totally fine for them if they want to, but if it became an american tradition, i'm not sure you'd be thrilled.

That's not really a great explanation.

However, it seems that instead of just plonking down alternating stripes of the previous frame (which would be analogous to 1080i), they use a first-order difference (possibly tweaked in some way) of the previous two frames to extrapolate the positions of pixels into the next frame. They then anti-alias this extrapolation by using the previous frame again. So, instead of using the previous frame for the inferior stripes, they blur together the previous frame and their extrapolated frame and use that.

I don't know how this actually looks, but it sounds like an ugly hack to me. It probably looks way closer to 1080i than it does to 1080p. If it actually looked good, then we could double the frames-per-second on everything by just doing linear interpolation/extrapolation. Have you tried doing this? I actually have. It looks like shit, although kinda trippy sometimes.

this is a little-known feature, actually. you just punch the wall hard enough and you have an instant glory hole. it cuts down on the uncomfortable introductions, and being semi-anonymous, makes rejection more tolerable.

when you're done, you can find a sheaf of wadding in the nightstand, often marked with a cross. you just tear out the pages, crumple them up, and stuff the hole with them. the staff is trained to notice it, and will plaster over it when you check out. it's courteous to examine the wall and just punch out a pre-existing patch if there is one.

as for the use of language, i eschew capitalization for principled reasons. i won't go through it again because you're not worth it. if you set that aside, however, you'll find the rest impeccable.

i don't consider myself an intellectual giant; how could i, in the face of people like Paul Erdos or Terence Tao, let alone Newton or laPlace?

you, however, are worthless. don't bother me.
