So, the pendulum has finally swung back to center, where anyone with an ounce of intellect could have figured it belonged all along.
Until the next study comes along...
I'm not drinking alcohol at all this year (just as an experiment - I'm not a recovering alcoholic or anything like that). I don't think that this has made any difference to my socialising.
Yeah, but you've probably already established a (meatspace) social network prior to this.
Check the qualifiers. That behavior was intended, but for other markets. Samsung does have plans to introduce it to the Australian market, but in the long term.
That's exactly it. There's no way for them to claim it's unintentional, as it takes intentional code to create this behavior. I don't know what on earth these people are thinking, but I won't be buying any "smart" TV that decides to share my conversations and injects ads where they don't belong. Same thing goes for Keurig and their DRM'd coffe makers or any other "smart" applicances. It seems that every "smart" appliance has a lot of foolish thinking behind it.
Clearly it is Ragnarogk, the end of days and doom of the gods!
Too late, it's already come & gone.
Do you have any idea how much $7.99/month is to an average Cuban? More than what they make...
The "free market" as they'll see it will eat them alive, I'm afraid.
You're going to blame Netflix for Cubans' low monthly income? I thought that Cuba, like all communist countries, was a "worker's paradise"?
You can say bad examples are just for teaching materials, but if all students are ever exposed to are bad examples, it's going to be a lot harder for them become good programmers.
Sometimes you start out with a trivial example so students can grasp the concept more quickly, then you increase complexity.
Err. That's good, right ? Police arresting bad people ?
Not sure why this is news.
It's news because it involves abuse of technology. Swatting is pretty heinous, especially since it can endanger an innocent person and is a gross misuse of police resources. All I can say is I'm glad they caught him, and if he's guilty he deserves to be locked up for a long time.
What ensures the detected neutron isn't just some other neutron?
Be quiet, or they'll lose their funding! This project is just a front for funding their DeLorean time machine.
They plan to put a well shielded neutron detector next to a shielded nuclear reactor that produces neutrons at a research facility in France. All this shielding means the detector should not see any neutrons from inside the reactor. However, if the neutrons are leaking into another brane and then back into our world, they can bypass this shielding and trigger the detector.
Seems like the more likely answer is the nuclear reactor isn't as well shielded as they hoped. Besides, how can you have a braneworld if the universe is a simulation of a hologram?
It's only a 'hobby'. It's not a real product.
Not anymore, according to Tim Cook...
But I agree otherwise - not much worth watching these days.
I've actually started to watch a lot more TV, thanks largely to NetFlix. We caught the first season of The Walking Dead and the first 3 of Breaking Bad - in each case binge watching so we could be caught up for the start of a new season. There are some other pretty good shows out there too. Game of Thrones is the best show that's ever been on TV IMHO. There are a few others like Gotham on Fox & Vikings on History. There's less to like on the Big 3, but we do watch The Black List and Marvel Agents of Shield/Peggy Carter.
Do you mean literally watching a TV, or watching TV shows?
I think they meant the latter.
if that is true, why do they keep pushing these programs that force people to do things they dont want???
Because equality, you misogynist!
This place just isn't big enough for all of us. We've got to find a way off this planet.
