Your right to claim blasphemy ends when you set foot outside the mosque.

.... I disagree, they can claim blasphemy all they want. The problem is that the prescription for that blasphemy is death.

Here's an example.

I'm Catholic, and therefore, I think all Protestants are blaspheming heretics when they deny the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist.*(see below)

My prescription is that all Protestants do the following:
+ Renounce their silly Calvinistic / Lutheran blasphemies and false teachings like the concept of a "Rapture"
+ Go to Confession
+ Join an RCIA program and (re)join the Catholic Church

And if they don't, well, I'll leave them alone.

See? That's far preferable to "KILL THEM NOW!!!" So the claim of blasphemy isn't the problem, it's the "fix" for the blasphemy.

* No, I don't really think all Protestants are heretics. Just misinformed.

Bill Gates studied the engineering behind it? I am so reassured...

Human waste contains heaps of harmful bacteria. If I am going to drink water recycled in this manner, I'd prefer to have the engineering studied by an independant water quality professional, say, an environmental engineer? And for the output water to be studied by health professionals and microbiologists. Some long term testing on how well the product holds up as the filters degrade would be nice too. That first glass may be clean and delicious, what about the the tenth, hundredth, or thousandth glass?

The recommendation of the former CEO of a software corporation (no matter how successful) doesn't really give me that high a level of confidence in the product.

Would you rather they tested it on some poor mouse?

How about Bennet Haselton?

Now ask your grandparents the same questions.

Now ask yourself the same questions about a large amount of cash.

Insured by the FDIC (and FSLIC). And regulated. And we've known about this for a minimum of 80 years. Why is it so difficult for Bitcoin, supporters, and companies to learn lessons from the past and NOT repeat them?

It's the same as giving modern radical Muslims a pass because of atrocities commited by the Roman Catholics 500 years ago. Why are the lessons never learned? Why start from zero?

We are even talking about "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants," more like standing on the toes of little people.
