As O-Zone asked in the Numa Numa song, "Maya who?" If a studio is trying to grow organically from a hobby into a business, is there a reason it can't just use Blender to create assets for Unreal Engine?
The fact is Game development is rapidly moving into the hobby space much like home studios did to music and youtube is doing to TV.
Except there's a difference. Anyone can burn hobby music to a CD-R and play it in a stereo. Anyone can burn hobby video to a DVD+R and play it in any brand of DVD player. The game market is qualitatively different. The major consoles lock out hobby games, and PCs are uncommon in the living room. Some of this can be traced to certain bad decisions made by the North American video game industry in the first half of the 1980s.

Microsoft takes a lot more than that for Xbox Live Marketplace (for Xbox 360 and Xbox One), Windows Phone Store, and Windows Store (for Windows 8 and Windows RT).

So you want google to passively block or filter into obscurity all references to religion or fiction?
If something is consensus within the canon of a particular fictional world, Google should treat it as consensus in that context. This shouldn't change whether the world is that of The Bible or The Silmarillion.

I don't see how religion should be treated differently from The Adventures of Pinocchio or The Lord of the Rings or The Time Machine or Gulliver's Travels or something like that.

How long can you keep a 60 Mbps without running into your monthly cap? The wireless Internet service providers I've looked at will cut you off after 10 GB in a month unless you insert coin to continue.

Perhaps "colo" here refers to the DSLAM or CMTS where the signal gets split to a neighborhood. In Archangel Michael's proposal as I understand it, a neutral party would own the colo and the last mile, but that party wouldn't connect the colo to the Internet. That'd be the job of competitive ISPs.

With all the carrier grade network address translation (CGNAT) going on in mobile networks and in developing countries' wired networks, I imagine that matching people by IPv4 address would need a team of humans to weed out all the false positives.
