you know when you crack an egg in the pan and there is a little spec of blood. Quite common right? Well that is a fertilized egg. More common with free range chickens, because when chickens and roosters run around loose then...chickens gonna be chickens. Fertilized chicken egg, just as delicious and I don't lay awake at night thinking about it.

I fully agree with this. The part I liked about this article is that they encourage students to install software, run webservers etc etc. You simply cannot do that in a Windows environment. As for IPads, I shake my head. Yes they are useful for some special needs kids, no argument there, but for teaching about computers and sparking their interest and creativity a Linux laptop or Raspberry Pi's in a lab would make for a far more vibrant learning environment.

This is a tired old debate. The "Stop stuffing your face" vs "Thyroid Problems" discussion. Fact is some people can burn calories quicker than others so there are differences. If you are one of those people that can consume 5000 calories a day then a the more power to you. If you can't you really shouldn't be stuffing your face and drinking a dozen sodas a day. Just logic man. For those who eat a healthy diet, exercise and still have weight issues it can be tough no doubt. Feel good about who you are and to hell with it.

Most people don't give a crap about Facebook's privacy policies. I personally don't touch facebook with a 10 ft pole but that is my choice and understand why others keep going there. That makes me about the only person in my family and social circle that does not use it. Stay in touch with the people you care about and you can always connect with them, it just takes effort. I don't know anybody who would move from facebook because people are there already. It's a noble thing to try and create something better. However, if you have ever seen the Personal Power Grid, any company would be in the Ceaselessly Striving box, they are taking action and have no control over the outcome. Most users just do not give a crap and are in the Acceptance (Let It Go) corner.

This right here. It is worse to access the internet under the illusion of anonymity than anything else. If you need anonymity then take responsibility for your requirements. Do not farm it out to others. I think the intent is noble with this device, but I just don't see how this improves on Tor Browser, or even better on Tails.

This is not a flying car. It is a car that transforms into a plane. It is one or the other at any given time. My childhood dreams were of a car that lifted of the ground and landed where it needed. Not driven to the airport to fly to another airport and drive to where you are going from there. This is cool stuff though, but I can never equate this with the childhood dream of flying cars (like the jetsons) no matter how unrealistic that might have been.

Because the world is comprised of totally different kinds of people with personal opinions, values and beliefs. Facebook wants every last person on the planet to give them their real name and all of their private info. They need to keep their "product" happy.

Lost in all of this, is the notion that people who don't like the service don't have to use it.
