This is not a flying car. It is a car that transforms into a plane. It is one or the other at any given time. My childhood dreams were of a car that lifted of the ground and landed where it needed. Not driven to the airport to fly to another airport and drive to where you are going from there. This is cool stuff though, but I can never equate this with the childhood dream of flying cars (like the jetsons) no matter how unrealistic that might have been.

Because the world is comprised of totally different kinds of people with personal opinions, values and beliefs. Facebook wants every last person on the planet to give them their real name and all of their private info. They need to keep their "product" happy.

Lost in all of this, is the notion that people who don't like the service don't have to use it.

All he did was use a web scraper with some code to handle captchas and to create a new user account when he was logged out by the site. Yes, a complete methodology would be better but it still is interesting to read what he did. I wouldn't quote his research in anything serious, but it is still interesting. Looks like he will be posting the code for is scraper to github, without the SilkRoad parts which I don't really understand why. Take it for what it is I guess, a good collection of observations for watercooler chat.

Which would drive more people to alternative energy. Vicious cycle. Energy companies can also cut costs by closing power plants and tightening supply. They can also diversify into manufacturing and supporting alternative energy installations. Ok well that last point will need less dinosaurs in the corner offices.

Well we only had one Beer story today, so I nominate BeerCrypt. Because we all love beer and crypto. It's a no brainer and the quicker you bring Cipher-Shed behind the wood shed the better. Let Mcafee have Endpoint and Microsoft have BitLocker. Nice catchy names to make the most hard assed CEO blush and gush. BeerCrypt. You know you want it.
