She certainly had a terrible choice in that man, but the pizza saved her life!

The big problem with Patch Tuesday was that most exploits from the following Wednesday on wouldn't get fixed for a month. MS should get rid of that.
I don't have to buy a home PC. I've already got one. And I have no plans to get rid of it, since neither iOS nor Android is even close to replacing it.
Yeah, even if you have 5 years experience in Language Y, which is very similar to X.
I'm concerned about that in my own future. No kids, and given our family histories, I have a better than even chance of outliving my GF.
I'm certainly a better tech than my boss, even though she came thrugh the tech fields and is no PHB. I'm very definitely not a better boss than she is. At best, I might BS my way through the job, hating every minute until I got fed up and quit. More likely, they'd catch onto my incompetence (in that role) and can me before I quit.
For a long time, at work, I didn't have any choice. It was fairly recent that they installed FF as a secondary browser. I still use IE for some of the internal web stuff, since some of it doesn't work with FF.
Yeah, I remember hearing that 9 months after a major power outage in some city, the population increased.
So, the people who said otherwise were lying through their teeth?
In which case, they should be fired for stupidity before getting criminally charged.
Exactly this! I like watching Jack Bauer "question" the bad guy as much as anyone, but what it comes down to is, it's not real! Nobody is really getting hurt, not even a criminal/terrorist. A real cop shouldn't do a fraction of the stuff we in the movies, and if they do, there should be heavy RL consequences.
Yeah, I remember. At one point, it got so bad I counted the BSODs. The record was 15, in an 8 hour day.
Because there wouldn't be anyone left to talk to.
Even with the whole season available, I don't really have time to watch it at once. I might see one or two eps, then I have to quit and do something else. Or I might be tired of that show and want to switch to a different one. Heck, I could decide that Sunday at 6 is "Daredevil time" and watch a single ep weekly like I used to with regular TV. The main downside is, I'm not on the same schedule as everyone else. If I've only seen the first two eps, I probably don't want to talk with someone who's seen the whole season.
You're probably looking at his mobile version.
As long as we're going to reinvent the wheel again, we might as well try making it round this time. - Mike Dennison
