I have a bunch of Amcrest cameras. They're all PoE and have worked pretty well for me. They can push to Amcrest's proprietary cloud, but they can also push to an NFS server or any other security software suite that supports rtsp. They have a published API that anyone can use without a fee to access their camera's streams.
I've been totally happy with them.
No, there's no way they're binning. What they're more likely doing is manufacturing drives specifically for BackBlaze that use more reliable designs and components and slapping the same label on them.

I signed up for Prime in the early 201x for the "guaranteed two day shipping" that it offered. Then all these other perks starting coming out and I was like "hey that's cool."
Then, Amazon started taking over its own logistics, and the two-day delivery guarantee went away. Then, delivery dates started slipping even more. And then half the stuff we bought arrived damaged or was left out in the rain or whatever.
So... we checked... we looked at Walmart+ and found that we could get the vast majority of what we bought on Amazon for mostly the same price and same-day delivery, so we shit-canned Amazon and just went with Walmart+.
That was a year ago, and seriously, we don't miss Amazon one bit.
