This may have been what what Microsoft was going for with WiinFS.
As an abstraction to the user, rigid file structures have their limitations.
I use a database for many of my documents-- scans of old magazines. The database shows the magazine by title, by year and finally by issue. I could replicate this by using folders, but when I actually read them, I find my material by reading and index-- so and so's stories were published in these twenty issues over the course of five decades, or by using a full text search engine.
Or perhaps, I'm working on a research project-- I can make a virtual folder that links to the twenty or so sources I need--- without actually rooting through and disturbing a carefully constructed virtual folder hierarchy.
Behind the scenes of the pdfs live in a folder structure that's convenient for the database-- lettered or numbered folders. I couldn't say that these particular documents live in folder a, or folder 25. In return, I get lightning fast text search and the opportunity to use lots and lots of metadata and tagging structures.
Both the tradiitional folders and files approach, and the personal search engine approach make sense, in different contexts.
Did GeForce Now never get off the ground?
Rather then demonstrating a commitment to the mac pro, this announcement casts serious doubt on the ability of Apple to realize it's M2 and M1X class chips. Apple is repackaging video cards as a stopgap measure.
And this is why we need standards. If offsite backups are to be a thiing that most businesses do as a matter of course, they need to be able to buy faster upload speeds for a reasonable sum..
Allotted Throughput? What's that?
What's wrong with 100 up/ 100 down, no limiits
Each version brings with it new and exciting incompatibilities. What you use today is not guaranteed to work in six months.

When I have a little money, I buy bitcoin; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes -- Erasmus 2.0
Much of the colonial pipeline ransom was ostensibly recovered using a blockchain explorer, so perhaps XMR will be the currency of choice. However bitcoin can be purchased at the same place you can buy giiftcards, so there's a tradeoff.
It's quite simple-- the feds just need to mine enough bitcoin to mount a 51% attack.
All I wanted was a simple calculator. But instead of being able to just use a simple calculator supplied by apple, I had to waste a considerable amount of time weeding out obnoxious adware, rentable software, "My first ipad app", and other garbage, before just giving up and using "Numbers." You'd think that hp48 clones and the like would dominate-- but no...
Marshes, bogs, fens and swamps are all types of wetlands.
Essentially, a swamp has woody vegetation (trees, shrubs), while a marsh is mostly reeds and grasses.

I've noticed that fbclid still confuses some webservers, particularly library catalogs. So nice to spend time tailoring a search strategy (list all the books with this keyword written between 1820 and 1867 in French, English and German) and have it all come to naught because of facebook's tracking scheme.
It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
