The Judge may allow Daniel to defend himself against the governments claims by putting the technology into the light. Sounds good to me.

The options include x86, x64 and x64 with developer tools and sample applications, all in ISO format. Upgrades from Windows 7 aren't supported, so best to use a VM or spare partition.

Steven Sinofsky, President of Windows and Windows Live, just told us during the opening Build 2011 keynote that their upcoming OS can be run on Atom processors with 1GB of RAM and it will be a lot better performing than the present Windows 7. A quick demo showed that Windows 8 uses less resources than the power hungry Windows 7 on the same system hardware."

An anonymous reader writes: The Michigan State Police have a high-tech mobile forensics device that can be used to extract information from cell phones belonging to motorists stopped for minor traffic violations. A US Department of Justice test of the CelleBrite UFED used by Michigan police found the device could grab all of the photos and video off of an iPhone within one-and-a-half minutes. The device works with 3000 different phone models and can even defeat password protections.

CWmike writes: "Microsoft today updated Windows to permanently block all digital certificates issued by a Dutch company that was hacked months ago. The update moves all DigiNotar SSL certificates to Windows' block list, dubbed the Untrusted Certificate Store. IE uses that list to bar the browser from reaching sites secured with dubious certificates. The Windows update will be automatically downloaded and installed to machines that have Windows Update's Automatic Update enabled, Microsoft said in a security advisory. Microsoft's Dutch customers, however, won't see the update for another week. 'At the explicit request of the Dutch government, Microsoft will delay deployment of this update in the Netherlands for one week to give the government time to replace certificates,' Microsoft's Dave Forstrom said in a blog post on Tuesday. Dutch users can get the update here."

It can also make a tank look like other objects, such as a cow or car, when seen through heat-sensitive 'scopes.

Researchers are looking at ways to make it work with other wavelengths of light to confer true invisibility.

This currently is supported on all 360s running Zephyr, Jasper, and Trinity with any dashboard/kernel. However you will still need to do some moding, see requirements and explanation in full story. While this may not be the solution for everyone it still beats the JTAG hack.

I'm sure I have a couple thousand posts and I don't even qualify for a lawn. Yet as of recently, there was no clear method in place for a user to receive all the posts in a nice text file. For a site that does detailed observations about the evils of data lockins, have other users developed a method to retrieve their posts in an efficient manner without too much difficulty?"

However, Bethesda has announced that once DLC for Skyrim starts coming out, it will be released for Xbox 360 30 days before anyone can get it for PlayStation 3 or the PC.

They also found carrier policies that drained users' phone batteries at an accelerated rate, and security vulnerabilities that could leave devices open to complete takeover by hackers.
