Portions of the parts manufacture are automated, but Assembly is done by humans. Don't know if you have ever disassembled a laptop or not, but it is definitely delicate work better done by quick dextrous humans.
I'm still surprised that anyone leaves anything of value in their car without the car being in sight, but then again I have had my window smashed out 10 times over the last two decades (hazards of the hood). It was inconvenient, but no laptop or vintage stratocaster was lost.

I have a Northface McMurdo jacket in size xxxl. This thing has an ungodly amount of HUGE pockets, so much so that I lose things in it. It also doubles as a blanket / mattress, and will keep you warm in subantarctic temps (look up Archibald McMurdo, of the HMS Terror, he explored antarctica. I would never need this.
mod up insightful. In this data leaky day and age, companies are reluctant to share their source code, but this is pretty standard operating procedure. Many big contracts would not have been granted if a looky-loo at the source code wasn't part of the deal.
