Not played FF before and coming from WoW, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the graphics in FFXIV. I stopped playing only because I felt no danger, as FFXIV seems to be essentially a PVE game.
There is. It is called extraterrestrial colonization.

Large mammals managed to survive for a long, long time before people came to Americas and then, shortly after people came, they were killed off by "climate and environmental changes"? Sounds a bit fishy to me!
I do not agree. "99% of users stop caring" because no real increases in CPU frequency were forthcoming. I would buy a 10GHz CPU for the same price I bought 3GHz CPU 5 years ago.And I would buy a 27" gaming monitor with say, 4000x2500 pixel count.

Duh?
So the guy in Tulsa who develops, say, rotor blades should have only the access to the relevant parts of the helicopter design. Why would this guy need to know the schematics for the targeting system, for example? Thus if a hacker gains access, he will only get rotor blade secrets, not the whole design's.
Well, I have the money (a SW developer). Of course, I have never bought, not intend to buy a console. However, I am perfectly happy with wasting €500 on a new GPU for my ridiculously powerful PC.
> powder-actuated tools
I know that such tools were in use something like 30 years ago, but I have never seen one, nor have I seen gunpowder cartridges for such tools in any DIY shops.
Until then I am not impressed. So you can print a plastic tube with a handle. Wow. Now for the trip to a "hardware store" to buy some bullets. Oh wait, I am not in USA, there are no bullets for general sale here, unless you are a registered gun owner.
> very little room for improvement
Oh yeah? I would understand that nobody should drive a car at 200 mph in a city, so making common cars very powerful (and more expensive) is not good.
However, for a gaming PC, you would want any MHz/fill rate you can squeeze out of it. There is lots of room for improvement there. Unfortunately, current silicon technology cannot push frequencies up as it was done in the 90s/start of 00s, and "multi-core" past 4 cores is really just a gimmick. So the reason why I would think for a few years before upgrading a CPU is because new CPUs are not that better. By 2013, I would have expected 20Ghz CPUs and GPUs that can run a FPS game at 100Hz at a high resolution monitor, and I do not mean "HD", more like 3000x2000.

That is great
Trying to be happy is like trying to build a machine for which the only specification is that it should run noiselessly.
